Shopware is a platform-independent online shop system from Germany developed in PHP in 2004. Shopware has a free, open-source community edition and various fee-based offerings.
The 5th version was released on 27 April 2015 and included a revised frontend, which is designed responsively. The backend is also designed to be user-friendly. This version is a shop system with CMS functionalities and can be adapted with many different plugins.

Themes
You can customise the design of the front end with the help of themes. You don't need any programming knowledge for this, but can simply adjust settings such as colours, logo or font.

The extension "Attribute Heredity" allows you to maintain similar articles with variants, with the same content in the free text fields, quickly and easily.
